Jenny Beck, born August 23, 1985

 

Jenny Beck completed her undergraduate degree at the Peabody Conservatory where she studied composition with Michael Hersch, and computer music with Greg Boyle. She has attended the American Conservatory in France, the Czech-American Music Institute in the Czech Republic, and the Highscore Music Festival in Italy where she was awarded the Top Composer Prize. Other awards include two Peabody Career Development Grants, 2nd Prize in the 2008 Prix D'Ete Composition Competition, an American Composers Forum DC Subito grant, and a Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award. Jenny is currently living in Philadelphia while she completes her Master degree at Rutgers University.
